BILLBOARD SONG CONTEST ANNOUNCES NEW PARTNERSHIP

      Tulsa, OK – The Billboard World Song Contest is excited to announce a new strategic sponsor partnership with Tate Music Group, an innovator in developing talent, new media marketing and product distribution.  Tate Music Group will select one Grand Prize Winner from our twelve categories to receive a TMG new artist development contract that includes 1) recording a full album 2) event booking and 3) radio and web promotion!

      The Billboard World Song Contest is open to artists worldwide and offers unparalleled exposure via its stellar reputation and renowned compilation CD featuring songs from winners in its twelve songwriting categories. Prizes are awarded to the top songwriters. The Tate Music Group (www.tatemusicgroup.com) partnership will expand benefits to winners by offerings prizes and promotional opportunities to top 36 places in the contest.

  The contest features a new Fan Favorite category.  Submissions to this new category will garner further exposure by being featured on the Billboard Song Contest webpage (www.billboardsongcontest.com) when they submit a new entry and as they gather votes from fans.  The Fan Favorite winners (first, second and third place) will earn placement on the compilation disc.

      The Billboard Song Contest was the first of its kind and continues to break ground in exposing new talent to the world.   The top three winners in all categories benefit from distribution of the Billboard World Song Contest Winners’ CD which is sent to music executives, producers, publishers, agents, promoters, and more throughout the industry.  Over $30,000 worth of prizes.  For many participants this is a springboard to success.  All submissions are due by December 31, 2009.

      Categories include Rock/Alt.Rock, Pop, Country, Americana/Folk, Latin, Contemporary Christian/Traditional Gospel, Jazz, R&B/Blues, HipHop/Rap, World, Electronica/Soundtrack/Dance.  The new Fan Favorite category can be accessed after entering a song into one of our previously mentioned categories.  Sponsors include Tate Music Group, CASIO, D’Addario Strings, TAXI-The Independent A&R Vehicle, Indie Band Manager, Discmakers, CD Baby, Blublocker Sunglasses, GoGirlsMusic.com, The Halsey Institute, and exclusive online song submission partner Sonicbids.com.
